Some UU's are obviously better than others. In the case of the UU's, it is ludicrous to say that a clubmen is as useful as a tercios. "For sheer game-winning power, I don't care who you are, the Statue of Victory is the one to have." Although I would say the wonders are pretty well balanced, even you said yourself a while ago that u feel there is an "ultimate" wonder, which was in my wonder thread. This is like saying, there are no best or worst wonders, they're all wonders. "There is no best or worst unique unit, they're all unique." Sorry Carch, I think your way off here on all fronts. (which includes siege, generals, and supply wagons!) These are very useful against all vehicles. (LOS, range, power etc.) A close second would probably have to be the Mayan modern/info age heavy infantry. These are better than the typical infantry of this age in nearly every aspect. I'd say the best UU is the Aztec Jaguar infantry. Their Royal Stratiotai has 3 or so more speed points than the normal cav., and that's it.
They should have left them with the bonus damage against cavalry. The worst UU? As u might have guessed, I would say the greek cavalry line. My favorite UU to look at is the turks basilica siege. They have the most, and quite a few with healthy bonuses.
with the best UU's overall is hands down Germans. It's pretty much open to whatever you guys wanna talk about regarding the best/worst UU's. Heck, if you want, we can talk about the worst UU's. Also, if you would like, feel free to compare age units, like who has the best midevil unit, etc. OK, I haven't seen this kind of post around since i've been here, so let's do it! So what do you think is the best UU in the game? This can be based on power, cost-effectiveness, usefulness, or whatever else you can think of.
